International students studying Year 12 in Queensland

If you are an international student currently completing Year 12 in Queensland, please follow the steps below to apply to QUT.

Entry requirements
All international students must meet the University’s minimum academic OP, subject prerequisites and English language requirements prior to the start of their course.  They must remain full-time as a condition for their Australian Student Visa (unless on a temporary visa allowing part-time study).

How to apply
International students currently in Year 12 in Australia may apply through the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) or direct to QUT.

If applying directly to QUT, students should submit a QUT International Application Form to either QUT International or one of QUT's authorised representatives. There is no closing date as applications are processed throughout the year.

Whether you apply to QUT directly or via QTAC, we will issue you with a conditional offer in your first QUT degree preference.

If you do not meet the academic or English language requirements, it may still be possible to enter your chosen course via one of our pathway programs – Foundation, University Diplomas, Bridging or English language courses. QUT Pathways upgrade your academic results or English language skills to meet university entry requirements.
