Australian Development Scholarships (ADS)
QUT is now an approved scholarship destination for the Australian Government’s ADS. 

The Australian Government’s Australian Development Scholarships (ADS) program provides scholarships to Australian universities for outstanding students from countries where Australia sponsors a bilateral aid program.

ADS scholarships are available for students to study postgraduate coursework or research courses in areas that will prepare students to return to their home country to work for the public sector. There are limited scholarships available for undergraduate courses.

ADS scholarships are available for citizens of:

Australian Leadership Awards (ALA)
QUT is now an approved scholarship destination for the Australian Government’s ALA. 

The new Australian Leadership Award (ALA) offers scholarships and fellowships for current and future leaders from the Asia-Pacific region. 

ALA scholarships are available for students interested in longer-term postgraduate study at masters or doctoral level and fellowships for short-term research, study or professional attachments in areas such as management, economics, business, political science, philosophy, history, law and public policy, international trade, disease pandemics, security and clean energy. A special residential program of leadership training is an added benefit offered by this program.

Endeavour Scholarships

Endeavour is a prestigious scholarship programme showcasing the excellence of Australia’s education, science and training sectors.  This program is being substantially expanded over the next five years to offer a range of scholarships for students, researchers and professionals in Australia and overseas. Endeavour International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS)

Students wishing to apply for a Research course at QUT and the International Postgraduate Research Scholarships should complete the FR form.   On this form applicants can indicate that they wish to nominate their application for the next available IPRS scholarship round.

Students applying for admission to research courses and the IPRS scholarships at the same time do not have to pay the AUD$55 application fee as advised on the QUT, FR application form.
