QUT is expanding its network of relationships with the University and research sectors in Europe as evidenced by the growing range of institutional partnerships established in recent years. The European student body currently comprises 14% of international students studying at QUT.
Recently a delegation of senior QUT staff hosted several symposia, visiting Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Germany with a view to informing the development of QUT programs and educational experiences for our European students. Feedback from the project will ensure European students' education experience at QUT, serves them well and meets their career aspirations in a global marketplace.
Extensive study, English language and social support services are also available to students through QUT's International Student Services and the region's dedicated International Student Associations.
Student Exchange
For a full list of student exchange relationships with partner institutions see QUT's Exchange website.
Alumni groups
QUT has alumni chapters and groups throughout the world, and is developing associations in many other countries. Alumni events range from breakfast meetings to high teas to theatre nights.
German graduates from Australian universities now have their own alumni network in Germany via the Deutsch - Australisches Netzwerk (DeAN) e.V. Aside from alumni networking activities, DeAN offers a forum for questions concerning relations between academic institutions in Germany and Australia and assists students interested in studying in Australia, for instance via the DeAN/Qantas travel scholarship. |
