The cutting-edge of current Spanish cinema is showcased in the 11th Spanish Film Festival, presented by the Instituto Cervantes. The program of features, documentaries and short films opens in Brisbane on 21 May, 2008 at Palace Centro.
This year's selection provides a diverse and vibrant overview of today's Spanish film production, with 29 features, three documentaries, and two programmes of short films.
Opening night presents the award-winning, box office smash Seven Billiard Tables, which features one of the great Spanish actresses Maribel Verdú as a wife and mother who is forced to make some life-changing decisions.
