QUT students living in the new on-campus accommodation at Campus Living Villages [Kelvin Grove] can apply for special scholarships only available to residents. Campus Living Villages (CLV) are offering two Academic Scholarships to Kelvin Grove residents worth $1500 in the form of a rental subsidy, as well as one CLV Scholarship which all residents in Australia can apply for, in the form of a $5000 cash prize. Academic scholarships are based on university academic grades or high school grades if applicants are first year university students. Applicants must also submit an essay up to 500 words to accompany their application. The CLV Scholarship is considered the most prestigious of the scholarships offered by Campus Living Villages and is available only to existing undergraduate or postgraduate students, and may be awarded on the basis of academic achievement, sporting achievement, contribution to the arts or community service. For information on scholarships and application forms visit Campus Living Villages Scholarships. The closing date for both scholarships is February 4, 2008.
Students with queries about converting Queensland or international grades to the national equivalent should contact CLV's Scott Fielding. Rooms are still available in five-bedroom apartments in the purpose-built complex in the Kelvin Grove Urban Village. More information on student accommodation and lifestyle, room plans and amenities is available at Campus Living Villages [Kelvin Grove] or by contacting Village Director Ben Jones-Wilson. |
