Bachelor of Creative Industries (Media and Communication)
"When I was making my decision to study in Australia QUT stood out as the obvious choice as it teaches the practical skills I’ll need in the workplace. The course combines camera work, writing, publishing, web and media and draws on our understanding of these fields to inspire hybrid projects. QUT’s Creative Industries Precinct is the flagship of the creative industries in Australia and is such a new and exciting place to be."
"QUT’s industry driven courses offer the right combination of theory and practice and are delivered by lecturers who know their field."

| Romina Gerhards (Germany)
Master of Journalism
“When looking for a university in Australia to study journalism, QUT was the obvious choice. It definitely lives up to its excellent reputation. QUT provides me with the theories I need to know and teaches me the practical skills I need to have to successfully work as a journalist. The Creative Industries Precinct is such an exciting place to study at since there is always so much going on. My advice for future students would therefore be to establish networks not only with students from their own courses but with students from different and diverse backgrounds. QUT offers everyone the opportunity to learn, develop and grow. Students are encouraged to think the unthinkable.” |
| Devangi Nakar (India)
Master of Creative Advertising.
“QUT was by far the only institution that was offering me what I really wanted to pursue at a postgraduate level. The course outline offers a ‘real world’ experience, with our assignments requiring us to work with real clients. The challlenges are enhanced by the fact that we international students come from different cultural and social environments, and strive hard to deliver solutions that are appropriate and persuasive in every way. The library resources are fabulous and also the fact that for our elective units we can choose from a wide range of disciplines that the Creative Industries offers.” |

Master of Fine Arts (Dance)
“Working with national and international choreographers as well as the opportunity to travel overseas and participate in the Malaysian Dance Festival 2005… That was a very good opportunity for me to meet a number of professional dancers, choreographers and directors, as well as a chance to watch and learn from them. My career goal is to work as a professional dancer with a contemporary dance company. By studying at QUT I was able to get the opportunity to work with dancenorth Australia which has given me the chance of gaining a full-time position with the company, after the completion of my master degree.” |
