Sean Murray

Sean Murray (Canada)

Graduate Diploma in Education (Senior Years)

"The flexibility of the course and its relatively short duration means it's a great option for professionals and recent graduates seeking a career change and in turn attracts dedicated and enthusiastic students from a range of backgrounds."

Akane Unno (Japan)

Student Exchange (Education, Humanities and Health units)

"I chose QUT because I cannot take some units in my home university such as TESOL.  Also, the location is very nice. I love Brisbane: the weather is good. The size of the city is just right; not too big, and not too small. And the people are friendly.

The style of class is very different from that of Japan; it's more practical and useful.
We do not have tutorials at my home university, therefore a tutorial discussion helped me in learning more and directly linking to my future career. There is also much support for international students in learning.

Agus Santoso (Indonesia)

Doctor of Education

"What I like best about QUT is the support from my supervisors, teaching team and the services to improve my research skills facilitated by the library and the International Student Office."

Education Student (Thailand)

Dr Phetcharee Rupavijetra (Thailand)

Lecturer for the Business Administration program for the Education Faculty of Chiang Mai University
Doctor of Education (QUT)

Dr. Phetcharee Rupavijetra is a lecturer of both graduate and postgraduate students in the Education Faculty at Chiang Mai University, and trains both government offices and business sectors to develop communication between organisations and personnel. She is an assistant to the director of the Satit-Chaing Mai University demonstration school and a chairperson for the academic service centre.

"While writing my thesis I really appreciated the great support from my excellent supervisor. QUT has a truly international focus with a commitment to lifelong learning. I have absolute confidence in my ability as a professional and strong skills in academic writing and speaking. QUT staff were understanding and provided diverse and interesting options for study. It is the best service I have received from a university."

Education Student (Indonesia)

Angelica Bunanta (Indonesia)

Master of Education (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages - TESOL)

Angelica is the Director of Studies at the British Institute in Jakarta, Indonesia, and is responsible for the academic content of courses, the welfare of students and teachers and the ongoing development of the institute.

"As an undergraduate of the Atma Jaya Catholic University in Jakarta, Indonesia, I chose postgraduate study at QUT as its teaching staff are fully dedicated and focused on developing and strengthening students' skills, proficiency and motivation. I was confident that QUT could offer me academic challenges and upon graduating, the professional standing I needed. I especially enjoyed the open, stimulating, international atmosphere on campus."
