Jeff Sundin (USA)

Nursing – Faculty of Health

"I have found QUT’s nursing program to be very rewarding as it gives me the opportunity to interact with patients and assist them on a personal and therapeutic level. Tutors are very supportive and there’s a really strong focus on teaching the specific practical skills we will need as professionals."

Shiu-Yun Kimberly Fu (Taiwan)

PhD Health; Master of Nursing

Kimberley currently works at the School of Nursing, College of Medicine, Fu Jen Catholic University in Taiwan, where she works as a lecturer, clinical educator and guidance counselor.

“QUT has taught me the value of patience and persistence and how to better communicate with peers and others in an academic environment, and to better understand the learning situation of each and every individual.

“QUT has trained, encouraged and supported me to participate in international and national conferences during my PhD study time and I was encouraged to deliver two major presentations at the Quality of Life conference in San Francisco in 2005.

“Equality is an important issue at QUT as well as the idea of multiculturalism which will be integrated in the overall learning process. In addition to having an awareness of globalisation, QUT has quality standards and requirements for completion of high quality degrees.”

Health Student (England)

Jeremy Tarr (England)

Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement Studies)

“I chose QUT because I wanted to study in Australia, and I’d heard the lecturers had a lot of practical experience in their respective fields. My studies are varied and very interesting. They’re applied to life situations, and not just dictated out of a book. The lecturers and tutors were extremely welcoming and supportive. I like the weather and the proximity to the beach, mountains and islands. The nightlife and sporting opportunities are good. The people are friendly. I like everything about Brisbane.”

Health Student (Norway)

Johnny Reiestad (Norway)

Master of Health Science

"I was attracted to QUT by the variety of courses to choose from and the high recommendations from my friends. The weather in Brisbane is great and the masters helped me to improve my English while focusing on my studies in human movements."
